Half of Bible study is reading the Word, the other half is revelation from the Holy Spirit. Pray that God would open your eyes to new truths today.
1) the ability to control oneself, in particular one’s emotions and desires or the expression of them in one’s behavior, especially in difficult situations (phew!)
As you look at each of these verses, read them slowly and prayerfully. Try to see them in a new light as you meditate on their truths and how they can be applied to your life
“A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.”
Galatians 3: 22-23)
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

Challenge yourself this week by prayerfully journaling about these questions and others that you think of to stretch your personal faith. What I chose to do when I was working through this study was write the characteristic of the day on my left wrist. This helped me to remember to grow in that area throughout my day!
~In what ways can I implement self-control in my life?
~What distractions cause me to lose control of myself and stop pleasing the Lord (i.e. social media, phone, dessert, hanging out with certain people, etc.)?
~How can I stay away from those things?
~How can I practice self-control with my words?
